Reimbursement for second trips
In accordance with the Rural Route Evaluated Compensation System (RRECS), for each additional mile involved in an additional trip, three minutes per mile will be the appropriate compensation. Previously settled pre-arbitration settlements do not apply to loading time for additional trips.
COVID-19 Parcel Shipping Award
The parties’ national arbitrator ruled on the COVID-19 package on June 27, 2023. Although the arbitrator appeared to agree with the union on the merits of the case, he dismissed the complaint, finding that the national settlement did not provide the remedies requested by the NRLCA-HQ.
